Belagavi: Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Tourism and Boundary Areas Incharge Minister H K Patil informed that state cabinet has given administrative approval for the 25 projects costing Rs 215.37 crore for the developmental works at Renuka Yallamma temple at Yallammanagudda in Savadatti taluk. Work orders for the works will be issued by September 15, and they have been targeted for completion by December 15, 2026.
Patil held a meeting with Renuka Yallamma Temple Tourism Development Board, Renuka Yallamma Temple Development Authority, Muzrai Department and officials from District Administration here on Saturday.
Patil told reporters after the meeting that cabinet has approved all the works proposed and the detailed project report submitted. Deputy Commissioner who was also the chairman of District Tourism Committee has been appointed as the implementation officer. We expedited the tender processes and work orders will be issued by September 15. We have fixed time frame for the works and they would be completed by December 15, 2026.
Philanthropists were coming forward for the construction of guest houses, dormitories and hostels on the temple hillock to facilitate the visiting devotees. More than 1.25 crore devotees visit the temple annually. We shall enter into an agreement with them, provide designs and quality requirements needed. We are planning to hold a meeting with them on August 26 or 27, to showcase our requirements, he said.
Patil said, among the Rs 215.37 crore funds for the development, Rs 97 crore were from temple development authority, Rs 18 crore from Prasad Scheme of centre and Rs 100 crore from SASCI Scheme of centre under which it gives interest free loans to the Tourism Department.
