Speaking to reporters on Monday, Puttaswamy alleged that Revanna had flouted all norms and allotted land on tank bed, in reserve forest area, forest reserve land, Gomala land and bagair hukum land.
“Revanna has given land to ineligible persons. Though 290 persons did not apply, he allotted land to them. It is a clear case of nepotism, abuse of power and corruption,” Puttaswamy said.
Puttaswamy, who released a copy of an enquiry report on a complaint by N Krishnaswamy of Holenarasipur to the Upalokayukta regarding the irregularities, said a panel headed by Revanna had decided to allot land to people who had not even applied in the prescribed format for land allotment.
The chief minister’s political secretary has urged the Hassan deputy commissioner to cancel the allotments, and the forest department to recover lands allotted “illegally”.
