Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa on Tuesday said that the Karnataka government will table an amended Revenue (Amendment) Bill that seeks to regularise illegally constructed houses on government lands in rural areas before the State Legislature in the winter session.

Speaking to reporters, he said he was not aware why Governor H R Bhardwaj returned the Bill. “The Governor might have some confusion.

The Bill will be again placed before the Legislature and sent back to the Governor,” he said.

Eshwarappa also said that Nemmadi Kendras will be increased from  777 to 900.
