The district administration and the Tourism Department will organise a river festival at Kuloor, Bangrakuloor, Padakodi and Sultan Bathery on January 12 and 13.
Chairing a preparatory meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said that various committees were constituted for the success of the festival.
The fest would feature watersports, river cruise, floating food stalls on the shores of rivers. He added that safety measures would be taken with the help of local fishermen and divers. All forms of plastic would be banned at the festival sites, he added.
