The aircraft, which will be among the smallest air-borne machines to be developed in the country, will be aimed at addressing issues like, disaster management, low-intensity wars and police force assistance. To be spread across five years, the project will consciously attempt to enhance industry participation, as also get appropriate and adequate feedback from the targeted end-users.
At an all India seminar on Micro and Nano Air Vehicles here, Aeronautical Development Establishment Director P S Krishnan said “It is not enough if one just does research that is lost in booklets. We’ll have to find ways of utilise the same in creating newer technology.”
