The move follows a recommendation by NRI forum deputy chairperson Aarathi Krisna.

A press release said Shreemant, injured while working as a construction labourer in December, incurred medical expenses of over Rs 1 crore.

The Karnataka Sangha Dubai alerted the NRI forum and raised Rs 7 lakh to bring him back. After the CM’s approval, Shreemant returned home on July 4 and is now receiving treatment at GIMS hospital, Kalaburagi.
