Davangere: Tamil Nadu MP and former Karnataka IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil charged that major enemy of RSS is equality and not Muslims.

"A kid, who was working as a daily-wage labourer went on to become an IAS officer and earned respect in the society. RSS hates it," he said.

Likening the Constitution to a family, he added, "We fight at any cost when there is a threat to our family. Similarly, we need to come together to safeguard the Constitution. If not, we will go back to 100 years ago. So, take part in this movement for the bright future of your kids or else it would become an injustice to them."

Senthil was speaking at Samvidhana Rakshana Samavesha organised here on Saturday. He said many people think that Muslims are the major enemies of RSS, but in reality, equality is the enemy.

Terming RSS as a traitor, he said it hates equality and those who support it. Those who love the country and equality are the real Indians. "We need courage and not anger to safeguard the constitution. We need a massive convention to counter the attack on the constitution. The Centre brought Waqf Amendment Bill and they will be doing it in the coming days also. But safeguarding the constitution is not a choice but a responsibility."
