Sahyadri civil engineering students and team Trigon developed a play area for children at Government High School, Angaragundi, Mangaluru.

Sahyadri civil engineering students and team Trigon carried out a community social responsibility (CSR) project at Government High School, Angaragundi, Mangaluru.

The project was funded by Inchara Foundation, an NGO. The project involved the construction of toilets that are economical, eco-friendly and easily repairable. It also involved the conversion of normal playground into a fun-filled zone using scrap materials which are economical and recyclable.

The Sahyadri team consisted of Alester from Mechanical Engineering, Shweta L G, Jewin Maria D'Cunha and Vinson Daniel Almeida from Civil Engineering.

Pritam Rodrigues, Director, Inchara Foundation, had approached Dr Premanand Shenoy and Prof Sunil Kumar Rai, Department of Civil Engineering to seek help for this project. The project was assigned to students for execution and has now been successfully completed. The estimated cost of the project was Rs 30,000.
