Federation President G R Shanmugappa said the sand transporters have decided to stop supplying sand due to the long pending demand of issue of a single permit as opposed to multiple permits to transport sand and stopping of harassment by officials.
He further said that a few truckers whose existing permits have expired on October 31 are not being issued new permits by the Department of Mines and Geology.
