Mysuru: Writer Savitha Nagabushan’s book Dinada Prarthane has been selected for Vijaya Dabbe Literary Award, from among the books, anthology of poems, published from 2020 to 2024.
According to a press note, from former vice-chancellor and president of Mysuru-based Samatha Adhyayana Kendra Sabiha Bhoomigowda, the book has been selected for the award for the year 2025.
“The book was published in 2024 by Shivamogga-based Nudi Publications, spearheaded by Savitha herself. The award was instituted in the year 2022. This year, 110 books were nominated and the juries were writers Cha Sarvamangala, G P Basavaraju and M S Veda,” she said.
The press note states that the award, includes a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and it will be presented at a ceremony in Mysuru on June 1.
