The enumeration through special camps and online self-declaration has been extended till June 6 and June 8, respectively. The empirical data collection through a door-to-door survey ended on May 29.

Initially, all three phases of the survey were supposed to be completed by May 23. The cut-off date was extended thrice (May 28, June 1 and June 8).

Based on the empirical data obtained from the survey, the one-man commission headed by retired high court judge Justice H N Nagamohan Das will decide on internal reservation for SCs.

According to data from the commission, 25.90 lakh households have been covered across the state and nearly 1.04 crore people have been enumerated. "The progress thus far has been reasonably good," Justice Das said.
