Udupi: A case has been registered against SDPI State Secretary Riyaz Kadambu for allegedly making inflammatory statements during a press conference that could disrupt public order and incite communal hatred.
On July 5, Bharatesh Kankanawadi Sub-Inspector of Udupi Town Police Station, came across a video circulating on WhatsApp in which Riyaz was seen making baseless allegations and provocative comments while speaking to the media.
Police stated that the speech was intended to mislead the public, disturb peace, and provoke religious communities. Based on the video evidence, a case has been filed at the Udupi Town Police Station under Section 353(2) of the BNS.
