K Noor Mohammed (56), deputy secretary, Legislative Assembly Secretariat, died of a heart attack Friday evening.
Officials in the Secretariat said Mohammed had gone to the High Court to attend an official matter soon after Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar presented the budget at the Vidhana Soudha.
Mohammed was active through the day, but he collapsed on the court premises after suffering a heart attack. He was immediately rushed to St Martha’s Hospital on Nrupatunga Road, but he died on the way, a Secretariat senior official said.
