He stated in a press release that he would decide the future course of action only after holding discussion with the officials of the UPCL soon.

“The meeting convened by me to discuss the UPCL issue on March 4 was disrupted by the members of the Raitha Sangha. Hence, I could not announce my stand on that day,” he said.

The seer charged that the Raitha Sangha leaders did not give him sufficient time to take a decision. “I had informed the Raitha Sangha leaders that I would announce the decision at 3 pm that day. They were not patient enough to give me time. However, I will continue my agitation for the people as a religious leader, seer and as a citizen of the nation,” he added.

The quantity of fly ash release can be reduced to some extent, but it is not possible to prevent the consequences completely. A non-violent protest will be launched if the company did not address the problems of the people, the seer said.

The UPCL officials have agreed to hold a discussion with experts and mediapersons within 10-12 days, he added.
