Mysuru: A senior citizen was killed as he was hit and run over by a KSRTC city bus, in Mysuru, on Thursday morning.

The victim has been identified as Parshwanathaiah, aged 81, a resident of Srirampura in Mysuru. The mishap occurred around 7.30 am at Vivekananda Circle of Mysuru.

Purushothamaiah was returning home on his scooter, after buying milk. While taking a left turn at the circle, the bus hit him from behind. Purushothamaiah fell off, with his head towards the road. The wheels of the bus ran over his head, crushing it.

The video from a nearby CCTV camera has gone viral on social media. Krishnaraja (KR) Police have registered a case.
