 The Senior Citizens’ Forum organised its second annual meeting at Capitol Village near Madikeri on Sunday.

The meeting was chaired by G T Raghavendra.
The senior citizens enthusiastically participated in competitions, including slow race, musical chair, passing the ball and putting the ball into the bucket.

Speaking on the occasion, Raghavendra said that the forum has 486 members. The number of senior citizens getting enrolled to the forum has, however, declined over the last few years, he noticed.

The essay writing competition was on the topic ‘The role of citizens in Swacch Bharat’. The winners of the competition are K Hemanth (first), A H Zareena (second) and Jameeya (third), while in the English essay section, K S Shaili (first) and A R Sushmitha (second) received the prizes.

The winners of musical chair competitions are Aravinda (first) and K S Shaili (second); slow walk race – Bhaskar (first), P M Appayya (second); putting ball into to the bucket – Bhaskar (first), M P Appayya (second); passing the ball – Gangamma (first) and Leelavathi (second).
Former president K K Thimmaiah, and others were present.
