Dakshina Kannada district in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai said the Shiradi Ghat road will be opened for movement of all vehicles on August 10.
Addressing media persons in Mangaluru on Monday, he said he, along with Public Works Minister H C Mahadevappa and Rajya Sabha Member Oscar Fernandes, would inspect the Shiradi Ghat stretch on August 9.
Pending works such as crash barriers, signboards and shouldering will be completed by August 9. The concreting work on the 13-km stretch from Heggadde (237 km) to Kempuhole (250.62 km) was taken up at a cost of Rs 69.90 crore.
