The late Shiroor Mutt seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swami’s advocate Ravikirana Murudeshwar has told DH that the seer had called him regarding fighting for the presiding deity of the Mutt.

The seer wanted to hold talks on filing a criminal case against the Ashta Mutt seers on July 18.

It may be remembered that the late seer had told reporters on July 16, that he would be filing the criminal suit against the Ashta Mutt seers demanding back the presiding of Shiroor Mutt ‘Anna Vittala’.

Murudeshwar said all the issues currently are a closed chapter and the only aspect the public wants to know is who killed the seer.

Issues like the Ashta Mutt seers demanding the Shiroor Mutt to appoint the junior pontiff, the criminal case and the controversy over the presiding deity of Shiroor Mutt have all come to an end, he said.
