Speaking to media persons after offering bagina at Bhadra dam, near Bhadravathi on Friday, he said "I have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi four times to get funds for the state’s irrigation projects, including the Rs 5300 crore announced in the budget by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the Upper Bhadra project.

"He has not signed a single document. He has not given a single rupee. The people have voted for him. Go to the Prime Minister and ask him to pay his debt to people of Karnataka. Raise your voice there," he told the BJP MPs.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that he will not allow the current height of the Almatti dam to be increased from 519 to 524 meters. Who is he to say that? "It is our right to get our share of water as per the Krishna Tribunal verdict," he said.
