With regard to the hijacking of ships in Somalia coast, which has been happening again and again, he said that talks have been going on with the nations concerned so as to resolve the problems amicably.
Speaking about Mangalorean Captain Glen Partick Aroza detained on April 17, 2009 after his ship was forcefully diverted from the high seas, Krishna said that the Ministry is in touch with the family of Aroza as well as the officials concerned and the issue will be resolved very
soon.
Whats a full fledged Passport office?
When questioned if at all a full fledged passport office will be provided in Mangalore, Krishna shot a question back at the reporters asking what is the difference between a Passport Seva Kendra and a full fledged passport office.
He said that Mangalore has Seva Kendra which has been functional and ultimately the purpose of the centre is to facilitate endorsements. Krishna did not comment more on this.
