She presented a paper on ‘Lynchpin of evolutionary computing sensay.’ The presentations, held as part of the Compaq technical festival, was attended by 10 teams of two members each from various engineering colleges in the city. Presentations included topics such as cloud computing technology by VVIET students.

Students of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology For Women presented the use of two way communication in bluetooth, while VVIET wannabe techies gave an overview of wi-fi technology and the impact on reducing wires.

Wannabe engineers were also exposed to studies taking place on speech recognition, tracking based on eyeball movement, nano materials and a study on medical education.
Director of Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE), Shimoga, Dr Ajith reviewed the paper presentations and released a book ‘Technical paper presentation: Emerging Trends in IT Education.’  Describing the activities of the CS Department, Meera recalled that the students were privy to visiting networking giant CISCO’s campus at Bangalore recently. She said that CISCO hosted 40 students and explained the current trends in technology which many were unaware about.
