Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday accused the BJP of politicising the death of its party worker Vinay Somaiah.

“I can only say that an FIR has already been registered and an investigation is under way. At this stage, I don’t want to interfere in the proceedings of the case. I don’t want to make any statement,” Siddaramaiah said.

On the BJP’s demand that the FIR mention the names of Congress MLAs A S Ponnanna and Mantar Gowda, Siddaramaiah said: “We can’t respond to the BJP’s demands. The BJP people are frustrated and they’re saying such things. They’re indulging in politics over death, which they often do.”
