District in-charge and Higher Education Minister G T Devegowda said on Thursday that former chief minister Siddaramaiah always had a soft corner for H D Revanna, PWD Minister and son of JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda.
Reacting to the tweet by Siddaramaiah that Revanna also had the calibre to become chief minister and he had no objection even if Revanna becomes the chief minister.
Devegowda said Revanna and Siddaramaiah were friends since 1995 and they had maintained a good rapport, despite being in different parties.
Devegowda said Kharge was a towering leader of North Karnataka and the CM’s remarks were not made with any ill-0intention. There is no need to misrepresent the statement, he said.
