Speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Saturday, he said, "Let Devenahalli layout's Kesare village (where CM's wife's land has been acquired and alternate sites given by MUDA) be in Siddaramaiah's name," he said.

"Since Siddaramaiah has contributed for the state let them rename the state in his name. I have also contributed to Mysuru during my tenure as CM, so can I ask KRS road to be named in my name?" H D Kumarswamy asked.

'JD(S) state chief to be elected in internal party election'

Kumaraswamy said that the state president of JD(S) will be elected in the internal party election. The date of the election will be decided in a party meeting on January 12. There is no discussion in the party about appointing Nikhil Kumaraswamy as state president, he said.

He denied any difference with G T Devegowda and said "he will not go to any other party. Since Congress knows the strength of 18 JD(S) MLAs, they keep trying to break the unity, but they will not succeed in it," he said.
