Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his son and MLC Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah were seen in surgical masks—perhaps to send a signal on precautions to be taken against the possible Covid-19 infection—at the inauguration function of Indira Canteen at Hinkal in Mysuru city.

As there are reports of Covid-19 cases in a few parts of the world and India, including Belagavi, the seemingly precautionary measures taken against Covid-19 assume significance.

The age factor of the CM is also a cause for concern.

However, no guidelines on precautions to be taken against Covid 19 have been given by the health department or the State government so far.
