Speaking to media persons, in Mysuru, on Saturday, he said, Siddaramaiah will undoubtedly present the next three Budgets.

He implied that Siddaramaiah would continue as CM and also Finance Minister for the whole five-year term, at a time when there are speculations that the CM might be changed and Deputy CM D K Shivakumar is a strong contender.

Dr Yathindra said, the Congress high-command and MLAs are with Siddaramaiah and thus he will better his own record.

MUDA case

In reply to a question, Dr Yathindra said, the High Court order against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) notice to his mother, in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) alternative sites allocation case, is a big relief.

“My mother, who was hurt by the developments, is happy now. Without doing anything, my father and mother were accused in the case. Thus, she returned the 14 sites to MUDA. But, legally she should get them. Once the investigation is over, she will decide on getting back the sites through the court,” he said.

Reforms

Responding to a question, Dr Yathindra said, his father is trying to make MUDA efficient like the Bengaluru Development Authority.

“All people’s representatives will not be MUDA members, like earlier. Only nominated persons will be members. Cleansing the MUDA is our responsibility. A Commission is already probing the misdeeds in the MUDA, by the officials concerned. Once the government gets a report, action will be taken against the erring officers,” he said.
