Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who will be on a two-day tour to Mysuru district, on Friday and Saturday, will watch a play, based on writer Devanuru Mahadeva’s (DeMa) book on the second day.

Writer DeMa is a close friend of Siddaramaiah from his youth days. The play ‘Edege Bidda Akshara’ is based on DeMa’s book with the same title. The play is being staged by Kavalumane Samskruthika Kendra troupe, under the guidance of former director of Rangayana Basavalingaiah, at Kirurangamanidra on the premises of Karnataka Kalamandira on Hunsur Road at 6 pm.

The play has already been staged at several places earlier. However, this show on Saturday assumes significance as Siddaramaiah and Mysuru District Incharge Minister H C Mahadevappa will watch it. The CM will leave for Bengaluru in a special flight from Mysuru Airport after the play on Saturday night. The play is being staged for three days, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the same venue.
