Karwar: Veteran Congress leader and the chairman of Administrative Reforms Commission-2, R V Deshpande said on Monday that Siddaramaiah would complete full five-year term as chief minister and that there was discussion about leadership change in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting.
"The Siddaramaiah-led government will remain at the helm for a full five years as it has a backing of the high command. A section of MLAs may be unhappy over lack of funds for the development works in their constituency, but there is no problem in the government," Deshpande, the nine-time MLA from Halyal, told reporters.
He said that it is not right for the aspirants of ministerial berths or KPCC posts to express their wish before the media.
Replying to a query, Deshpande said, "I don't know about the change of guard at KPCC. Satish Jarkiholi is a good man. I don't know whether he would be made Karnataka Congress president. It is left to the party high command."
