Mangaluru: Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shobha Karandlaje, said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to divert the attention on from the murder of Suhas Shetty by claiming that he received threat calls.
The CM has also stated that Speaker U T Khader is also allegedly getting threat calls but he does not speak about the brutal murder of Suhas Shetty, Karandlaje said.
Speaking after visiting the family of Shetty in Bantwal, she said, “Whenever Siddaramaiah comes to power, anti-nationals get strength, which is proved once again in Mangaluru."
“As a CM in 2013, all the cases against PFI activists were withdrawn in Karnataka, and all the accused were on the streets roaming freely. As a result, we have lost 20 to 23 of our karyakartas in the state. I had informed Amit Shah then that due to the withdrawal of cases against PFI activists, we have lost our party workers. Similarly, the state government withdrew cases against the Hubballi police station rioting case of 2022. When cases against the accused are withdrawn, they get the feeling that the government will protect them at any cost. As a result, incidents of murder are repeating in the state,” Karandlaje said.
She said Suhas was barbarically and brutally murdered by assailants in the middle of the road by following his car with two vehicles. After intercepting his car, they hacked him to death in a cinematic style. Whatever we had seen on TV has happened to Suhas, Karandlaje added.
