The accident occurred on Friday morning at 11.30 in front of the Byagadehalli Mescom office on the Kadur-Birur National Highway 206.
The KSRTC bus belonging to the Mudigere division bus depot was going from Dharmasthala to Shimoga.
The tempo was moving from Turavanuru village to Aldur when the accident took place.
The tempo was going to the house of Kempachar of Aldur for the marriage engagement carrying Chitradurga taluk Turavanuru village’s Kantharajachar (32), Ranganathachar (30), Channigiri taluk Devarahalli village’s Subbannachar (65), Andhra Pradesh’s Harish (12), Raghavachandrar (55) and Shanmugachar were the six who were killed on the spot.
The injured victims have been admitted to the Shimoga Government hospital and Kadur Government hospital.
