Tiptur, Tumakuru district: A pack of dogs set upon a six-year-old girl, mauling her to death in Ayyanabavi Bovi Colony in Tiptur taluk in the district.
Navya, the daughter of Mahalingaiah and Bhagyamma, was playing on the street when she was fatally attacked by dogs. Such was the ferocity of the attack that her entrails were ripped out of her abdomen.
The canines also tore off the skin of the face. Onlookers drove away the dogs and took her to the Tiptur Government Hospital. She did not respond to the treatment and breathed her last.
