Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Monday spoke to wife of IAS officer D K Ravi, who died recently under mysterious circumstances, over the phone and expressed her condolence.
The party sources said Sonia had called up Kusuma at around 9 am. The Congress president assured her that all efforts would be made to provide justice and that the party had asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to refer the case to the CBI for investigation.
She also spoke to Ravi’s father-in-law Hanumantharayappa, the sources added.
