Special puja for rain at Talacauvery

Villagers perform a special puja at Talacauvery.

As Bhagamandala-Talacauvery region has so far failed to receive pre-monsoon showers, a special puja was offered at Talacauvery on Saturday.

The residents of five villages in Bhagamandala area offered a special puja. Later, they climbed Brahmagiri hillock by reciting ‘Govinda Namasmarane.’

Normally, the region experiences rain in the first week of March. However, this year, there is no sign of rain so far. The coffee growers are in distress, said the villagers.
