The city soaked in Mosaru Kudike celebrations on Monday. The decked-up curd pots, tied to horizontal poles put up on the streets of Kadri, Attavar, Urwa and Thokkottu, doubled the festive spirit.

As a part of the Mosaru Kudike competition, enthusiastic youths formed human pyramids and burst the curd pots to get attractive prizes.

Loud music and dance, performances by tiger dance teams and music troupes, added to the joyous celebrations.

Sri Krishna Janma Mahotsava Samiti, Kadri, observed Mosaru Kudike in a grand way. Various tableaux grabbed the attention of people.

Actor and music composer Sadhu Kokila, singer Raghu Dikshith and film producer Rishabh Shetty entertained the crowds with their performances as a part of ‘Rhythmic Nite 2018’ organised by Kadri Cricketers’ Club in the evening.

The historic 109th year of Mosaru Kudike festival was celebrated by Sarvajanika Sri Krishna Jayanthyutsava Samiti, Attavar.

The idol of Lord Sri Krishna was brought in a grand procession from Sri Krishna Temple in Vaidyanatha Kshetra, Attavar to Umamaheshwara Kshetra, earlier to the competitions at Mosaru Kudike Katte.

Celebrations were also held at Urwa Maidan. The 40th year of Mosaru Kudike festival was organised by Sri Krishna Janmothsava Samiti. Puja was performed to the Lord at the Ranga Mantapa in Urwa Maidan.

Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath took part.

The 22nd year of Mosaru Kudike festival was organised by Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple at Kavoor. A large number of people took part in the celebrations.

The event was also held at Padil, Shakthi Nagar, Kulshekhar, Kankanadi and other places.
