Addressing the Sene activists after taking part in the Dattatreya homa after the Dattamala Abhiyan at Bababudangiri Inam Dattatreya peeth on Friday, he said that BJP came to power in the State by playing the Dattapeeta card and now that it is in power, it has forgotten the past.

“If this government keeps neglecting the religious minority, it will have to face revolt from Hindus,” he said adding that the Government has insulted the devotees by denying permission for Paduke darshana.

Awareness campaign

Muthalik said that if the caves are not repaired by March 2011, then they would stage a State-wide awareness campaign and protest against the Government.

As many as 1,500 Dattamaladharis participated in the abhiyan. A total of 1,500 security personnel were deputed in the City to maintain law and order.
