Mysuru: The golden jubilee celebration of the Old Boys' Association and global meet of the Alumni and 72nd college day celebration of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala will be celebrated at its premises in Mysuru on December 20, 21 and 22.
On December 20, there will also be a spiritual retreat between 9 am and 12.45 pm, at Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE).
During the first session, Swami Muktidanandaji, Adhyaksha, Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Mysuru, Trustee Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, will deliver an introductory speech.
Swami Nityasthanandaji, Adyaksha Ramakrishna Math, Bengaluru; Swami Atmashraddhanandaji, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Kanpur; Swami Maheshatmanandaji, Ramakrishna Math, Bhubaneshwar; and Swami Mahamedhanandaji, Correspondent, RIMSE, Mysuru, will address the gathering too. The cultural program includes bhajans by Viveka Hamsa Balaga, Bengaluru, at the end of session 1.
On December 20, the golden jubilee celebrations will kick off at the Open-air theatre at 3 pm and continue till 6 pm. Former head of Defence Research and Development Organisation Padma Vibhushan Dr V K Aatre will be the Chief guest.
State President of BJP Yuva Morcha and MP Tejasvi Surya will be the guest of honour. On the occasion, a Golden jubilee souvenir, special postal cover and my stamp will be released. Between 7 pm and 10 pm, there will be Swara Taranga musical performance by Sunil Gojagonda, Aishwarya Rangarajan, Jaskaran Singh and Pruthvi Bhat at Vidyashala stadium.
On December 21, Captain G R Gopinath, Entrepreneur, Founder of Air Deccan will participate as the chief guest in the 72nd College Day Field Display, at Vidyashala stadium, between 5 pm and 6.10 pm. Padma Vibhushan, MP D Veerendra Heggade will participate in the 72nd college day celebration at the Open-air theatre, between 6.40 pm and 9.30 pm.
On December 22, Alumnus of batch 1976-79, MP and former Additional Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka Kumar Naik will participate as Chief guest in the valedictory session of Golden jubilee celebration, and Annual general body meeting of OBA, at Open-air theatre between 2.30 pm and 5 pm.
