A non-bailable warrant was issued to Health Minister B Sriramulu in connection with the violation of model code of conduct during the Assembly elections in 2008.
The bail was granted on a surety bond of Rs 10,000, when the minister appeared before the court.
Later, speaking to the reporters in the court premises, Sriramulu said that a case was registered against him for violation of poll code during the last Assembly polls, when he had contested from Bellary rural constituency. As he was busy tackling the H1N1 virus problem in the State he was unable to appear before the court on August 21.
