Mysuru: Mysuru district dropped to 15th place with a pass percentage of 68.39 per cent in the SSLC exam result announced on Friday. Out of 22 students who have secured first rank in the State by scoring full marks (625/625), four students are from the old Mysuru region.

Students from the region who have secured first rank include S Dhanush, student of Marimallappa's High School, Mysuru; R N Thanya, student of BKSVB school, Vijayanagar, Mysuru; J Dhruthi, student of Sahukar S K Chikkannagowda school of K R Pete taluk of Mandya district; Utsav Patel, student of Vijaya school, Chikkahonnenahalli, Hassan taluk, Hassan district.

In the Mysuru district, among 35264 students who appeared, 24116 students have passed. It stood at 7th place with a pass percentage of 85.5 per cent in 2024, and it stood at 19th place, with a pass percentage of 89.75 per cent in 2023.

Hassan district has retained its sixth place in the State with a pass percentage of 82.12 per cent. Among 19248 students who appeared, 15807 students have passed.

But it stood in sixth place with a pass percentage of 86.28 per cent in 2024; it stood in third place in 2023.

Mandya district has jumped to 12th place in the State with a pass percentage of 69.27 per cent. Among 19453 students who appeared, 13476 students have passed.

It stood at 19th place with a pass percentage of 73.59 per cent in 2024; it stood in second place in 2023.

Chamarajanagar district dropped to 27th place with a pass percentage of 61.45 per cent. Among 10749 students who appeared, 6605 students have passed.

It stood at 24th place with a pass percentage of 71.59 per cent; it stood at seventh place in 2023.

In Karnataka, the overall pass percentage is 66.14 per cent. It was 83.89 per cent in 2024 and 73.40 per cent in 2023.
