Superintendent of Police B M Laxmi Prasad has said that he has asked the Puttur deputy superintendent of police to submit a report on the alleged incident of the Sullia station officer threatening Yuva Brigade protesters who had shouted to hurl a bomb at Pakistan.

The protesters had made the demand during a protest in Sullia against the fidayeen attack on CRPF personnel at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

Laxmi Prasad said that there had been an exchange of words between the protesters and the station officer. In order to bring to light the truth in the incident, the deputy superintendent has been asked to submit a report by speaking to the station officer as well as the protesters.

The Yuva Brigade members, who had been a part of the protest, alleged that the station officer had opposed garlanding of a statue of Mother India and their statement of hurling a bomb at Pakistan. In the name of issuing guidance to the protesting youth, the police officer had allegedly threatened them of putting them behind bars.
