Police arrested a person in connection with the robbery of gold and silver jewellery belonging to the Bobbarya daivasthana in Hakladi village in Gangolli and recovered property worth Rs 70,000. According to police, the arrested is Rama alias Rama Poojary
15 trucks seized
Police seized 15 lorries for illegally transporting sand at Nekkilapadavu near Naringana on Sunday. Acting on a tip off, the police waylaid the lorries. Cases have been booked against five persons in this regard.
