Aurad, Bidar district: A 21-year-old undergraduate student ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan of her post-matric BCM hostel room on Saturday night.
The deceased is Vandana Ganesh Pawar, a native of Chikli (U) in Kamalnagar taluk. She took the drastic step when other inmates were having dinner at the mess.
Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti and officials visited the hostel. The reason for the student's suicide is not known.
