The University had said that the Society had not paid dues from 2007-08 to the tune of Rs 39.11 lakh. The Society argued that it was an autonomous body and according to their statutes, the University owed only Rs 1.40 lakh.
NICE case withdrawn
A petition challenging the land acquisition of 7 acres and 20 guntas for Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Project (NICE) has been withdrawn.
J Basavraj and others had filed a petition questioning the land notification in Pantharapalya of Kengeri hobli in Bangalore South taluk. They had contended that the concerned land was excess land and not a part of 1997 framework agreement.
