The protesters alleged that the Public Work Department that was entrusted with the job of constructing a ramp with Rs 1.5 lakh funds has neglected the work.

A ramp has been built near the college gate but it is in poor standards. Besides, there is no such facility to reach different floors in the college, they pointed out.

PWD Assistant Executive Engineer Dwarakanath said that there is no permit to build ramps in high-rising buildings. However, if the college authorities give a written undertaking, the department would consider it, he added.

Yuva Vidhyarthi Hitarakshana Vedike’s B Suresh Gowda, Puttaraju, Hoovalli Nagaraj and others were present.
