Taluk Panchayat President Nettekerehalli Jayanna has directed officials from the Department of Animal Husbandry to verify the availability of fodder in Chikkamagaluru taluk.

Chairing the Taluk Panchayat meeting, he said that during the recent chief minister’s review meeting, a few elected representatives had complained about the non-availability of fodder.

The officials should verify and submit a report on the availability of fodder.

Dr C Ramesh said that vaccination to check foot and mouth disease in cattle will be held in the month of October. There is no shortage of fodder in the taluk. There is a shortage of veterinary doctors at Kalasapura veterinary clinic.

Officials from the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department said that eight Shuddha drinking water units have been set up in Chikkamagaluru taluk.
