Bidar: The police on Friday arrested D K Sidrama, the chairman of Naranja Cooperative Sugar Factory, on the charge of embezzling public money by furnishing false information to the DCC Bank. He has been remanded in 14-day judicial custody.
The Janavada police arrested Sidrama at his residence in Bhalki and produced him in Bidar district court.
The chief executive officer of the bank had lodged a complaint with the
police on May 8 alleging fraud.
