Citizens contributed their suggestions towards the City Municipal Council Budget, during a preliminary budget meeting held in Kaveri Kalakshetra on Wednesday.

During the meeting presided over by CMC President Kaveramma Somanna, people demanded various facilities for their areas.

Ayyappa, a vendor said that there is a need to rejuvenate Kunda Mestri and Roshanara lakes. Also, water is not being collected in the tank at Pumpinakere due to leakage. The same should be repaired immediately.

“There is a need to instal street lights on Raja Seat - FMKMC College Road, along with constructing protective walls,” he said.

Race Course Road resident Pali Madappa said that the main road lacks pedestrian path.

Pradeep Kumar from Mahadevpet Road said that there are three schools in CMC limits and only one of them is facilitated with playground. The other schools too should be provided with a playground.

Other citizens Hanif, Raju, Monti Ganesh, Usha Uttaiah and Tennira Maina drew the attention of CMC authorities towards parking issues, UGD problem, stray dog menace and waste management.

CMC Commissioner Ramesh, members Zulekabi, Srimathi Bangera, Peter and Lakshmi were present.
