The Karnataka High Court on Thursday asked the police to file an affidavit while hearing a matter on denial of permission to organise a new year event featuring Bollywood actor Sunny Leone in the city.

Justice B Veerappa asked the police to file an affidavit citing the number of clubs in the city that have been granted permission to host new year events.

The judge asked why the police were discriminating against an individual while granting permissions to other new year events in the city.

The matter was adjourned  to end of day.
