CM Siddaramaiah, who is set to present the record-breaking 16th Karnataka state budget on Friday (March 7), has moved the speech time ahead to avoid Rahu Kalaa, reported Prajavani.
The budget presentation was supposed to start at 11:00 am. But, it has been rescheduled to 10:15 am. Today, the Rahu Kaala starts at 10:30 am.
Rahu Kaala, is considered highly inauspicious to start any new venture.
As per Hindu mythology, this timeframe is ruled by Rahu, the mythical serpent head that swallows the Sun, and causes solar eclipses.
In his record 16th Budget, Siddaramaiah is expected to present an outlay of nearly Rs 4 lakh crore as he will look to provide for infrastructure creation by stabilising expenditure on the 'guarantee' schemes.
