Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and other authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to restore Mysuru’s standing as one of the cleanest cities in the country in the Swachh Survekshan Survey for 2025, as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Mysuru slipped to 27th place last year.
This time of the year (February-March), is when the Swachh Survekshan team will be visiting the Heritage City for the field assessment phase of the 9th edition of the survey. This is an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation, conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA).
Accordingly, a team of Swachh Bharat survey from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is likely to visit Mysuru on Tuesday. They will assess the cleanliness of the city, which is for 9,000 marks. The total survey is conducted for 12,500 marks. Two more teams will be coming later in the month, they will survey 35-hour garbage ranking and 35-hour toilet usage, according to the MCC officer.
