Bengaluru, DHNS: Congress MLC Dinesh Gooligowda on Friday said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had directed the medical education department to take steps to handle high patient load at the Mysuru branch of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research based on his letter.
In his letter to the CM, Gooligowda expressed concern that heart attacks were increasingly affecting individuals aged between 30 and 50. He noted that the patient load at the Jayadeva unit at Mysuru had doubled, with the number of daily patients rising from the hospital’s capacity of 700 to around 1,500–2,000. He sought urgent deployment of additional cardiologists to handle this emergency.
